If I could rate them 10 stars, I would!!! “This is not our first rodeo” as we have remodeled a number of homes over the years but this was, by far, the best Contracting experience we have had.
We embarked on an extensive Kitchen/Laundry/5 bathroom remodel with Griggs and his team in 2015 into 2016. From start to finish, we received nothing but professionalism, skill and well thought-out advise. Aaron and his staff displayed a wealth of knowledge and we developed a great relationship with excellent communication. We believe each of his subs were the very best the region has to offer. Each with a strong attention to detail in their area of expertise.
As a testament of our faith and trust in their work, we realized that we did not have to oversee their work on a daily/weekly and basis. We left the job in Aaron’s capable hands halfway through the project and went back to the Bay Area. We visited and checked in regularly but had faith the job would be done to our expectations in our absence. At the end, we have no regrets in doing so.
Now that the job is complete, we are thrilled with our new home. We also know that Griggs will stand by their work going forward. We are lucky to have found a Fine Home Builder with Integrity!

Although over a year has passed since we moved into our new vacation home, I felt I needed to put into words how thrilled I am with everything! It was such a pleasure working with you guys, and I can truly understand and appreciate why you were chosen the Tahoe Quarterly’s 2008 Best General Contractor.

The quality of craftsmanship, the attentiveness to our concerns, the attention to little details, and the expeditiousness of our project was nothing short of impressive. After supervising the building of our home here in Southern California, it was a new (and sometimes difficult) experience to just let go and let you guys do what you so obviously do best. I am sure there were many times you were exasperated with us, but you honestly never let on to it. Your subcontractors were outstanding, most notably the framers, electrician and plumber. The services of Home Concepts was invaluable, and that was the key to the whole interior coming together with the vision I had in mind. I could go on and on about the quality of work done by the subcontractors, but as a contractor myself, I know the quality of your subs is a reflection of your integrity. One of the things that sets the house off the most, and makes it a work of art, is the finish work done by you guys at Griggs. Todd was fantastic!

And, since it has been over a year, I would also like to say “thank you” for being so responsive to the little things that came up during that first year. I know we were really pushing at the end to get in before the holidays, and you guys made it happen. All of our guests have the same ‘jaw-dropping’ reaction to our beautiful new home. They think they’ve arrived at a 5-star resort!

Most companies never realize that communication is really the biggest key to any client feeling comfortable and Aaron really went out of his way keeping us informed, up to date and honest on exact stages of the project. No project ever ends on time or budget, but having an honest and open dialogue along with a feeling of trustworthiness goes a long way.

Paul and Aaron,

I just wanted to say how impressed I am with your organization and management of the project. I especially liked how you have the drawings and photos posted all over the house, in each room. This makes it clear to all who work on the project what is expected in that location. It’s a small thing to do for your team, but makes a big difference in the long run. I like, too, that you call us whenever there is an unexpected change. You tell us the reason for the change, the options, and costs associated, and you wait for us to decide before moving ahead. This approach works very well for us.

I also like your organization of the bills. The itemized lists with matching photocopied receipts makes it easy for us to see what is going on and where our money is going. It’s very helpful to have it so organized and easily referenced.
